How about hiring a robot to do one of your household job? Does it sound funny, or irealistic or something else? If we think carefully, we are already using so many machines in our daily household maintenance. Freezer, food processors, washing machines, dish washers...there are so many of them. But none of them do job without your command. Here comes an intelligent robot, which can be programmed to do a routine job! Yes, it is a reality now. I am talking about a robotic vacuum machine. After setting up properly, it can do all the floor vacuuming, adjusts itself when move from hard-wood to carpet, after finishing it's job, it goes to charger to charge itself. Then it can even do the same job routinely. Not only that it adjusts itself to the size and nature of the floor, vacuum same area multiple time to make sure the work is done, it even so intelligent that it senses the edge and does not fall down from the stairway.

May be many people have started to use robots already, but at my home it has started just yesterday. I have bought my first robot which is a 440 model of iRobot robotic vacuum. Is it a beginning of a new era? I don't know about future, but after giving it the very first shot, I am truly amazed, I opened the box, set up the rechargeable battery, then just after press of a button...it all started. I was kept watching as how it moves from corner to corner to finish my entire living room, dining area and kitchen before it signals that the work is completed. It can even goes underneath the sofa! So, I would rather put my BIG upright vacuum at the storage room and let my robot vacuum to take charge. Welcome home robot..
